The Caribbean Baptist Fellowship (CBF) installed William Thompson as its new president and Everton Jackson as executive secretary/treasurer during the CBF General Assembly held in Montego Bay, Jamaica, from March 18-21. The CBF is one of six regional fellowships of the Baptist World Alliance (BWA). The assembly brought together Baptist leaders and delegates from various countries in the Caribbean for worship, fellowship, study and business sessions. Thompson succeeds former president Burchell Taylor, while Jackson succeeds Peter Pinder, who served as executive secretary/treasurer for 15 years, having been elected to that position in 1995. The election, which took place at the Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort on March 20, was followed by the installation of the new leaders and executive on March 21 at the Calvary Baptist Church. - Baptist World Alliance (www.bwanet.org)
